MACDL Honored John Brink & Judge Michael J. Davis

MACDL honored two outstanding members from the legal community, John Brink and Judge Michael J. Davis at our Annual Dinner on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Town & Country Club in Saint Paul.

John Brink, Distinguished Service Award – John has been a courageous and effective advocate for his clients throughout his career, and over the years has been a great mentor to numerous defense lawyers in the community. John has a long history of service to MACDL as both a former board member and president.

Judge Michael J. Davis, Equal Justice Award – Throughout his life, Judge Davis has been a champion of equal access to and justice for all. President Bill Clinton appointed Judge Davis to the Federal District Court in 1994. Judge Davis is a former criminal defense lawyer with the Neighborhood Justice Center, an attorney with the Legal Rights Center, an attorney with the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office, and served as a MN District Court Judge for 11 years.
